Andy Rooney, ww2 vet who's buddy died on Saratoga landing on a loose bomb,
said it best on 60 minutes last night

In so many of AR's words, Memorial Day would take on a greater meaning if
one could devise a way where international disputes could be settled
without
weapons.

My words: UN is about as good as it now gets.  Hope the 'one' above
devises the plan in mine & my active-duty son's lifetime
