EBAY and PAYPAL both have their hands in your pockets.
My last transaction was a sale for $164.65.?? PAYPAL took $5.07 or just over 3% to handle the cash payment from the buyer
(As a Power Seller I get a slightly lower rate than others). This money is withheld from my PAYPAL account, so I really
only net a bit under $160.00.
I draw this money out as cash using the PAYPAL debit Master Card. If I do it at a Chase Bank ATM,
they charge $1.00
NOW, let's talk EBAY.
Under the new plan, first 5 deals per month, they would charge $ 14.40 (or 8.75 of the sale amount).
Now this fee is charged to at the end of the month, along with all other EBAY fees
So under the new plan (first five transaction each month):
?? If it sells, my total costs are $14.40 plus $ 5.07 or $19.47. This is over? 11.9% almost 12% of the sale l
?? If it doesn't sell, my costs are ZERO
But let's look at EBAY's OLD plan, and all listings each month beyond No. 5.
The Paypal fees remain the same? $5.07
Ebay Charges me: Listing Fee?? $2.00
??????????????????????????? Picture Fee? $1.00
??????????????????????????? Final Value?? $6.02
So the grand total EBay + Paypal under the old system? is $14.09,? but if it doesn't sell I'm only out $3.00.
So it's not clear which is better. BTW these are actual amounts charged me.
Remember I get a 2% discount that you may not qualify for.
So for the same item, I pay $19.47 if it sells using the first 5 items each month. Nothing if it flops.
BTW the Paypal debit card gives you 1% back on all purchases made using the card in stores and
gas stations.

WRONG!
The Paypal commission is closer to 6%. They charge a transaction fee, then a
percentage(2.75%) then there are some hidden fees dependant are where the funds
come from & which type of account you have. The average is near 6%!!!!
Then I see Epay is now taking a huge fee% on the first $25.? RIPPPPP
OFFFFF!!!!!!!!!!!!
