Usually when two ratings are given, one was for capacitor input (lower
current, higher
voltage), and the other for choke input (higher current, lower
voltage) respectively.
According to the RCA data sheets the voltage drop (at operating currents) for
the 3B28 is 14V maximum.
At full operating current, you won't see anything like the peak
voltage at the output
of a capacitor-input filter. So my guess, taking the 904VDC as the
output of a choke-
input filter and thus approximately 0.9x the RMS voltage, that the
transformer would
be delivering (904 / 0.9) + 14 = 1018V.
The Stancor catalogs will quote both the transformer voltage winding
and the resulting
output under rated load for both choke and capacitor input filters. I
would suggest
consulting these for accurate information.
