[Milsurplus] USMC - modded BC-312 seen online

Seen on the auction place, item 120437436545

USMC modded for 24 volt.  Looks to be in extremely good condition.
Physical differences from the the Signal Corps original include new
tag on the front and the dynamotor and associated mod stamps on
the front -  it's an official mod, not a hack.

I'd not seen nor heard of this mod before, though historians such as
Robert Downs and others may be familiar with this oddity.

Anyone with additional info, please chime in.
