Warm up the Wayback Machine. I see in Radio
News for June, 1947, that BC-654 is selling for
$14.50, includes tubes. "Write for Quantity Prices".
Oh yes - it says "$351.00 Value". Is that the
gov't acquisition price, do you think?
Also sez: BC-375 "Cost the Gov't $1800".
Oh, here's BC-654 for $12.95, FOB Chicago.
"You can hardly tell they are used".
SCR-274N "Removed from unused aircraft",
$29.95 complete set.
BC-223, new crated, $29.95
DP Brand-New In Original Crates, Value $2500
for $195, still too much. Too heavy!
BC-221D new in crate, $34.95
Looks like about the nadir in mil-surplus prices!
