At a recent swap meet, I came away with
a little box, about 3x4x3 inches, labled

ANTENNA MATCHING UNIT
MODEL 6077

Looks like WWII era manufacture, black wrinkle
with a Navy anchor acceptance stamp on the front.

Has two push post antenna termainals, one for fixed and
one for trail, with the warning to only use one of them.
(And a third push post terminal for ground).

Output is an SO-239 on the side. Internally it has 4 coils
that can be jumpered into place, with coil A for a minimum length,
and coil D for maximum length antenna. The front panel says to
connect to 50 ohm input on receiver.

Manufactured by the Washington Institute of Technology.

Anyone know what this was for? My suspicion is that it
was used for a LORAN receiver. Anyone know for sure?

Thanks
