[Milsurplus] GRC-9 "Conversion" ??

I found a single page, "AN/GRC-9 CONVERSION"
by "A7PVF", no date.
It shows a 2transistor B+ supply and this filaments
12 volt conversion: 2E24 to a #47 pilot lamp to
ground from the high end of the 47 lamp is a 9R
resistor, to the 3x 3A4 filaments paralleled, also
a reverse bias diode across the 3A4s.

2E24, that's odd, isn't it? Wouldn't that kinda rule
out any more AM ? -Hue Miller
