I have been operating a TBW for some time now with 450 or so for the B+ and about 1300 volts for the plate of the PA and have no issues operating at around 75 watts or so CW and about 50 on AM voice. other then the chirp when you key it the VFO is very stable and has not been any issue for AM operation, also the chirp can be reduced with careful adjustment of the IA tuning and playing around with the way you feed the DC voltages to the radio. I am using the keying relay to switch the B+ and AC control of the solid state plate supply. The plate supply is controlled by using one of the old side tone contacts to control a relay and the old primary AC contacts on the keying relay connect the B+, all this only requires jumpers on the bottom control plug and external power supply work. I did instal a wire to provide bias to the IPA tube because that use to produce a "birdie" that traveled down the band when the key was let up that annoyed me to no end.
