I don't 'blindly collect things'

Instead, I try to collect a limited number of COMPLETE SYSTEMS, including
all the original documentation, control boxes, shock mounts, test sets,
period connectors (as complete cables are very rare), and accessories...
and then make them work as they were originally design to.

BTW, among the hardest things to find are the propper shock mounts.

I firmly believe that the original designers knew far more about the
equipment than virtually any ham and that almost all ham mods degrade the
equipment's performance. Just look at the scores of mods made to ARC-5
transmitters to reduce EMI with essentially no understanding of the
appropriate way to operate or connect it.
