Hi,

And thanks for all of the thoughtful replies. I assume since none of
them mentioned that we have no way to search the archives across time
on a search term like the one I asked about that is not an option.

It looks like some good memories and some nostalgia were brought out.
I like the story about seeing the tvi and knowing somebody was on the
air so it's time to fire up the vhf rig. I once found the local Field
Day site that way :)

The unit I have is kinda rough. It has parts I can use in other
projects and so I am considering just that. Before I remove it from
the world's inventory of BC625s I wonder if anybody on the list is
interested in having it. I can be pretty easy to live with regarding
that. A swap for some parts a home brew HF ham can use for a 625 in
this case. Mine doesn't look exactly like the one on the web page
somebody referenced but the controls on mine are in all the same
places and the inside is very close. If somebody wants it I'll send
along some pictures to make sure we are on the same page. I won't
strip it down right away so there is time for an interested party to
reply directly to my email address. Maybe nobody wants these things
any more (my suspicion).

73,

Bill KU8H
