By the way, these sets don't seem to be happy with more than a 160v B+ 
supply.  Like the BC-348, it is an unvented set, and the heat balance 
was carefully designed to give excellent frequency stability with that 
level of B+.  Most hams who added AC supplies to the rear with the usual 
250v or greater were normally forced to drill air holes in the cover to 
keep things halfway stable  - I have a couple of sorry examples of that 
practice on the parts shelves. :'(
