This information about the 75A-4 variants has been educational to me.
Based on all that has been presented, it appears that these different
versions of the 75A-4 covered bands as shown below:

   75A-4 Ham USN USAF
    MHz
 1.5 to 2.5 x x x
 3.2 to 4.2 x x x
 4.2 to 5.2 x
 5.2 to 6.2 x
 6.8 to 7.8 x x x
11.0 to 12.0 x
13.0 to 14.0 x
14.0 to 15.0 x x x
20.5 to 21.5 x
20.8 to 21.8 x
26.5 to 27.5 x
28.0 to 29.0 x
29.0 to 30.0 x x

Total Bands 8 8 6

I wonder why the USAF version didn't take advantage of adding a couple
of bands, or why the USN version didn't include something more useful
for military purposes than the 29 to 30 MHz coverage.

Up to now, I had thought all 75A-4 units were identical in frequency
coverage.

Though I'm not a Collins groupie outside of military aircraft radios,
I've found this discussion interesting. That's what I like about
this list.
