I don't have a can handy right now but I seem to recall this is a teflon base product. It does smell awful too. Use off teflon or silicone products may make future repaint projects trouble some unless very through solevent cleaning prep work is done. I have had luck cleaning with citrus based furniture cleaners.

For the last 25 years I have been using a particular small arms cleaning/lubricating product to restore the "fresh" look of dirty, bleached-out, or faded crackle finishes.  That product is "CLP-Break Free".

I don't believe I'd use it if I were planning to paint over a crackle finish, but paint-overs are a last resort in any event.
