[Milsurplus] LO DFing, the myth that never dies!

While stationed in Germany in the 60's there was a tax on TV's and there was a van that went around that would detect a television receiver in the German's residence for taxing purpose.  The government housing was of course exempt. Apparently the TV's Local Oscillator was strong enough to be detected.
