This post just brought back some great memories. While going to Navy
"ET" school in Great Lakes, I did my duty days at the MARS station,
since I was a Ham. We had three URC-32s that we would run RTTY on.
Back then, I thought those were the greatest radio ever built. Lots
of knobs, mechanical counters, meters and they would run 500 Watts out
on RTTY all day. They seemed to be pretty reliable, too. I don't
seem to remember much downtime, except for normal maintenance. Never
seen a complete one since then, but, always wanted to have one in the
shack!
I think we also had one of the URT-18(?) which had was a URC-32, minus
the normal PA section, and a larger PA, in its own cabinet. I think
it was 1500 Watts.
Thanks for the post. I hope you get your's running!

Yeah I know I ought to have my head examined, but I have accumulated all the
modules for a URC-32 (Collins KWT-6) but need the rack, blower, cable
harness, and that junction box at the top - anyone got a parts unit?
Will pick up on East Coast some day or at Dayton hamfest in 2 weeks.
thanks,
