Agreed.
Something aimed at the technical level of, say, a car mechanic. Not a
rocket scientist, but more than a fifth grader.
It should include a basic description of the major systems and their
components (propulsion, power, flotation, radio, radar, life support,
navigation, and weapons) A toilet is pretty obvious, but how does it flush
when submerged?
I was reduced to trying to read name plates in cramped, dimly lit
compartments through plexiglas.
What would be really nice would be a diagram of the boat w/ transparent
overlays for various systems. They also might sell a CD with diagrams so
various systems could be turned on and off, like different layers in
AutoCAD.
