The I-101 was also popular with hams to make into a dual meter SWR
indicator (something of which I would know nothing about *cough*) by
tweaking the movements slightly then mounting them with the bearings
on the bottom two corners rather than top and left. I can't remember
where the conversion was published but there was a meter face that
went with it to be copied and attached to the original to make it all
pretty and stuff.
I wish I could find that article. There are a lot of civilian
cross-point indicators that I believe have the same movements in them
and it would be cool to make one ... er, again. :-D
