Curt,

MT-28/ARN-5 is also the mount for the AM-26/AIC.  But that makes if 
anything less sense than the AN/ARN-5.  I have the dim recollection that there was 
another NAV set whose "box" looks like the R-89/ARN-5 but can't recall what 
it was.  Might be a false memory, too.  

FT-293-A is the mount for the BC-733 Localizer Receiver (p/o RC-103).

I don't have anything in my database on the AN/ARA-8 other than the 
unsubstantiated mention of an MD-34 Modulator (?), a C-150/ARA-8 (no name) and 
C-301 Automatic Volume Control.  All of which could be in error.  The or a 
manual (which I do not have is AN 08-30ARA8-3.  The -3 usually means the 
Maintenance Handbook.  If that's correct, then there was probably a -2 Operations 
Manual.
