Hey Ed,
Well not that anyone cares .... Hehehe .... if one
didn't have anything else to do with their life and
didn't have a fork to poke in the eye for entertainment
actually the mobile VRC-19 had the wiring for the 115
volt Power supply already installed. Now you won't see
that in the manual but we found it out quite by accident.
I believe it's even on the schematics of the case wiring.
Hard to say why they did that since there were the TRC-28
type units available. Some guys set them up for both modes.
Well hope all is well over in Mobile.
Take care.

That sucker is a variation of the AN/VRC-19, which is the vehicular
version. I don't remember if the version with the 115 volt p.s. had a
different nomenclature or not, but it must have. The vehicular version
had optional 6, 12, and (I think) 24 volt vdc supplies. How do I know
this? Had two of them a few years ago. Scrapped one and sold (cheap!) or
gave the other one to a Canadian chap for instln in an ex-DEW line mil.
veh. he was restoring. Man, did that "gift" cost him for freight from
Mobile, AL to Winnipeg (IIRC) Canada!
