A 25L6 (or 50L6) is nowhere near the same tube as a 6L6.   With a 25 
volt  @ .3A filament, it's ratings are identical to the 6W6 which has a 
6.3 volt @ 1.2A filament - (do the math), and the RCA manual shows 2.1 
watts maximum signal power output for either version.   With the added 
7.5 watts of  "wattage waster", the Boulevard receiver provides a solid 
4-5 watts of audio.
