One heck of a rally, with a lot of East Coast Military Radio Collectors
present and just to mention a few, Tom Bryan, Dave Kormanicki, Chuck Agosti,
Jeff Ciccone, Pat Lombardi, Ole Buzzard Rich and many others. Fumeo JA3 FTU
attended and will be at Dayton next week. Fumeo and I spent quite a bit of
time discussing various ways to power up the older military sets. Jeff
Ciccone's vehicle a USAF "Peace Maker" armored car won first place in the
military Vehicle Judging of the armor wheel (no treads) class. Jeff was up
against some stiff competition- his vehicle has a nice HF installation and
featured a 12 volt to 24 volt "UP" converter yes that is correct-- converts
12 volts up to 24.

Some rain but we pulled out the ponchos and did not let it slow us down.
Mike Baranosky had NOS PRC-10's, the best PRC-10 sets I have ever seen, they
had depot tags of 1972. He also had lots of GRC-106 parts sets that looked
complete except for the meters, also boxes of connectors, cables, radios--
Mike has a lot of stuff and his prices are always very reasonable.

continued with second part
