I just want to note the passing of Bill Howard.
Mr. Howard, Col. USA(R), died May 5 at the
age of 67. ( 67 years is not enough to get one's
work done. ) Bill was not a member of this list,
was not ham or a big electronics hobbyist. He
did have a stronge drive to create perfectly
complete museum-like displays of WW2 radio
equipment, mainly German and Japanese equipment.
Some of his articles will live on for a long time,
on the internet. His effort was one of the first and
still is one of very few efforts to systematically
catalog communications equipment of WW2
and the VietNam war.
I have a little, very little other information, only one
email which i will forward if anyone else requests.
Otherwise i will also appreciate learning more if
anyone else has further information.
Thanks for the note, Serge ( UA1OSM ); your words of
remembrance were very well written.
-Hue Miller
