Hi,

The BC-929-A is also a part of the APN-2 (Rebecca). The indicator had two parts:

A SPDT RF switch coupled w/ a SPDT Video signal switch
and
essentially a 'scope with vertical amp and triggered sweep.

The system transmits an omnidirectional pulse and listens for a reply from the Eureka beacon on a different frequency, alternately on the left or
right pointing antennas. The single receiver RF input and output is switched is switched between left and right.

The trigger comes from the Tx/Rx unit. So you will need a free running trigger generator, a delayed pulse generator, and a divider to partition the
delayed pulse between the L and R channels. The pulses will need to be at vacuum tube levels and the delayed pulse needs to be band limited (likely
at a couple of MHz or so) to look realistic.

REMEMBER, the BS-929-A BLOWS TRANSFORMERS if run off 60 Hz line. There are NO internal fuses. You will also need 24 VDC for the motor driven switch.

Best,
-John
