Hi Dave,

    Just so you (and everyone else that's not familiar) know, you don't 
need to build a converter for that box to put it on a different IF 
frequency.  If you have the manual, it tells you how to tune it to a 
different IF freq and if memory serves, it will tune up to about 3300 
kHz.  If memory services, you can run it down in frequency as well. 
That's a rather hard to find and very useful little box.  Don't let it 
get away if you like older sets that can't detect SSB.  It's very 
versatile.
