The stories about Jeff are correct. Mike's tavern was right across the street from the store. I had known both Bob and Jeff for several years and worked with Bob & Pac Tel. I remember Jeff was sober less than not. I was doing contract work for places like Marine Parts, Marine Power & Equipment and ELSCO Electronics on Stone Way at that time and had access to a lot of gear. I have been looking for a TDE or some such transmitter for a long time to put on the air. I remember a lot of them coming off of vessels being scrapped around the area, but at that time I didn't want one, naturally. Perry
Perry, i think it was ELSCO that had the stacks of RBMs and RAKs and RALs !!! You should have grabbed some when you had the
chance! There was lots of other stuff they had stacked in that room - think i saw an MBF also - darn, wish i'd had more time to look it over and
also been less stingy with my cash. -Hue
