[Milsurplus] Transformer identification

I would guess it is a pole pig but never having seen one, I'm not sure.
 It's about a 10 inch cube and weighs in at 60 pounds.

Low voltage side appears to be two 120 volt windings wound against the
core.  Primary windings are air spaced from the secondary and terminate
on a ceramic terminal block with one terminal on each end of the block
and a hex pattern of taps in the middle.  I have no idea what voltages
to expect from the high voltage side.

The power supply must have been built in the 1950 and has gone through
several modifications, the last using epoxy cased diodes in an
unsupported (free style) bridge configuration with each leg using 5 or
6 series connected diodes!

Anyone have a use for one?  Tesla coil anyone?
