My observation is Stomberg-Carlson was the worst

If a set stored for ages in very hot & humid place,
paint lifts free of aluminum &  all that remains
are curly little hangers-on

Comes the question

How to repaint these guys.

Why?  I've got a T-18 & a 1.5-3 ARA aimed @ 160 this winter

PS  But wait, that's not all.  Be neat to get T18's loading coil
    & it's ceramic antenns feed-thru too
