Of 3 VietNam bring-back radios i have seen, 2 were
(i think) China type 73 (i think) radios - 1.5 to 6 MHz
AM/CW pack radios looking something like the
PRC-10 series and using submini tubes. The other
was a small transistor receiver in black plastic
apparently intended for broadcast reception.

What is the difference between the Kulikov antenna
and the US and German tape or laminated type
antennas? I have a couple examples of the German
antenna - the blade is narrower and due to metals used
they are prone to rust and to "remembering" the fold
point and cracking along it. ( No doubt the service life
was not intended to be so long. ) If i recall, this tape-
antenna idea arose in the USA ham community before
WW2 ? Is that right? -Hue Miller
