[Milsurplus] Civilian dynamotors ?

I have the opportunity to parts out some 1950s VHF aircraft
radios, Bendix and Collins. I am pretty sure there is next to
zero interest from collectors for these, and they are HEAVY.
IF they were transceivers, that would be something in their favor;
but separates + heavy + VHF AM + no control boxes is voting
strongly for their demise.

I noticed some interesting dynamotors in some of them. There
are receiver dynamotors of 220 V 80 mA, and transmit dynos
of 425 V 325 mA. These do not have the unscrew & pluck out
basing of military dynos: they mount on a chassis with 4 screws,
and then the leads from the dyno go thru a cutout in the chassis
and land on a terminal block. So not directly plugin replacement
for any mil dynamotor. Nevertheless, these voltages seem useful.
But collectors want the real thing. So i ask, are these dynamotors
worth saving? For example, the 425v one seems ready made for
the ATB transmitter. Of course, not a whole lotta ATBs out there
crying for dynamotors.

Also i noted a mod transformer for 2x 2E26 to 829B for about 40W
AM input at 415 volts. Mentioning these on the GB list seemed to
elicit no interest; i suppose ham from-scratch builders want more
AM power than that, probably around 100W. So are these mod
xfmrs worth saving, at all?

Oh, yes: all the control boxes apparently went the way of the scrap
wire bin - as usual. -Hue Miller
