passed out under the counter to various other
countries by our government. Like the TRC-10's
(& maybe Pogo Sticks) that went to Angola & China,
 the BC-1306's & BC-611's that went to Thailand &
Vietnam, or the extremely varied array of types that
went to Israel, Cuba, South & Central America. Ask
yourself when our European allies finally started
dumping BC-1306's & GRC-9's!

Well, now, TRC-10s and Pogo Sticks to Angola. Say
whut? I'd probably need to see some proof of that. Why
would the Portugese colonials want a CW only rig with
no parts support, or a short range single channel
mechanically complicated heavy HF voice rig? Ditto
China - the Guomintang could afford (or demand) better
rigs from their sponsors, the USA. BC-1306 and BC-611
to Thailand, okay; to VietNam, of course you mean with
the French colonial forces.
I don't think the big dump of GRC-9s took place until
the collapse of the USSR bloc, did it? -Hue K7HUE
