Thanks for clarifying it - for some reason I thought you referred to  
the 110 VAC supplies/operation as opposed to the 12 VDC primary power  
use.

In this case, there is definitely some merit in acquiring these GE and  
Motorola supplies.
If you can find the article regarding this, it'd be a good reference.
