[Milsurplus] salvaged solid state inverter power supplies

That's fine if one wants to run equipment off 110 VAC.
------------------
Nope, the 110vac subject supplies were in the follow up lines. The primary subject was/is DC power supplies. All those radios I quoted were operated primarily from DC power sources, with there also being 110vac equivalent radios for base operation. I too have the original power supplies for both my TCS, & the GRC-9 both DC & AC, but I didn't aways & until I did they were powered by salvaged supplies from old business band radio equipment.

Even after having acquired the original supplies, these solid state variants often proved more advantageous for casual operation. I once had a GRC-9 mounted in the back of a Chevy van powered by a solid state power supply salvaged from a GE Progress Line business band radio. I had the the original DY-88 but the solid state supply was so much better in every respect that it was much better to just save the DY-88 for other types of operations(exhibits etc).  I also have a PRC-10 that is powered by a 6vdc Motorola "Handie Talkie" supply, & a Motorola "Dispatcher" power supply is the basis for 110vac PRC-10 family testing supply.

Some years ago I wrote an article about the use of these old power supplies, I'll see if I can find it.
