Finally got my copy of QST last night and saw the conversion articles,
did not think the transmitter stuff was way out of line with what I
would do to use one myself, for me I do not see the point of having to
use the dynamotors and all the original components but if you feel that
this is the only way to operate the stuff or are preparing a museum
exhibit I can respect that. Did like the comment on “if you find an
unmodified transmitter it would be better to trade to a collector for a
modified set then convert an unmodified set”. Did think the receiver
conversion was a bit of a hack job but look on the bright side, now is
the time to sell off all the hacked ARC-5 junk people have laying
around.
