[Milsurplus] WW2 Jap valve replacements

Anyone done any work on replacing unobtainable Japanese 
WW2 tubes with more readily available US or UK types? 
 
I have a Japanese set with blown heaters in all the tubes 
and as they are very hard to find my thought is to replace 
with other types.
