Maybe some dish soap and warm water and an old toothbrush and work a
small area, rinse and let air dry as an experiment.New canvas may shrink
some after getting wet so I wouldn't try the washing machine unless
someone has tried with success already.
Does anyone know if ScotchGuard is useful here?

Subject: [Milsurplus] mold on canvas bags?

I just checked some of my radio gear in storage, and a few of the carry
bags of my gear is just starting to get mold spots on the canvas.
These were previously like new bags, so I’m kinda ticked.  Someone told
me once the process of mold spots begins, there isn’t much one can do
to remove the effects.  Is this true?  If not, what’s the best way I
can remove the spots without bleaching the entire bag.  Will dropping
in a load of regular wash help out?
