You might ask this question on one of the Civil War re-enactors' forums. Such problems are pretty common on the various items used by those re-enacting this period in history.

I just checked some of my radio gear in storage, and a few of the carry bags of my gear is just starting to get mold spots on the canvas. These were previously like new bags, so I'm kinda ticked. Someone told me once the process of mold spots begins, there isn't much one can do to remove the effects. Is this true? If not, what's the best way I can remove the spots without bleaching the entire bag. Will dropping in a load of regular wash help out?
