I wish it were otherwise, but I sympathize with people who choose not to 
ship out of the US.

It is hard to imagine the incredible headache if something happens to the 
shipment and you try to get  the postal service to pay up on the insurance. 
I sent a scope to France via Express Mail (supposedly 2-3 day delivery). 
Four weeks later (after travels through Germany and Switzerland) it finally 
showed up severely damaged. The US postal service said the claim had to be 
filed in France - The French, of course, said it was a US problem. After six 
months and getting my two senator's offices to harass the postal service, I 
fiinally got a check.


And it ain't just the French - I've had commercial equipment spend months in 
British customs purgatory.

Sorry, Ben - if I had a U-229, I'd just stick your address and a stamp on it 
and hope for the best.
