Greyhound comes to mind Dave, although I've never personaly used it
out in the sticks here. Folks have related sending items as large as
console BC radios with excellent results. Sounds like you have the
'proper packing' part down.

DHL is another shipper suggested to me after FedEx trashed a
well-packed mod transformer sent to me from 200 miles away in Maine.
Have yet to use them, though. Selling most of my stuff locally these
days or using the AM Pony Express route.
