[Milsurplus] WWII Radio Chatter??

My impression was that most 'sea battles' were really fought by proxy,
i.e. aircraft, rather than battle ships going toe to toe. If that is
indeed the case, a TBS would really be listening to a sideshow. Also,
much of the recording would contain little, unless some kind of
start-stop mechanism (COR) was used
