I got to share a chuckle.
In case you wonder why people raise an eyebrow a little
when they hear of any war memorial in Massachusetts,
check this out, displayed at the web site;
it was probably included to keep the peace-loving
Massa-ites from coming with torches in the middle of
the night and peacefully burning the place down (snicker ;-):

   While Battleship Cove is emphatically dedicated to preserving 
   the heritage of our veterans, we believe that an appreciation of 
   our neighbors' cultures helps us maintain peace and promote 
   democracy in other regions. To wit, the museum preserves

   to helping our visitors understand the world we share.
   So while you're here, be sure to check out the Hiddensee, 
   our Japanese demolition boat, and hundreds of artifacts 
   from the indigenous peoples of the South Pacific."

Come'on guys- You gotta admit: that's funny.
