TCS is a great AM/CW rig ....ugly, but sure works nice and definitely what was used for short range in WWII. I still think it's the best deal to be had in military radios considering cost, availability, power, bands covered, and useability.

My smiling reply was always: This is the same kind of rig the boat had when it was decommissioned in the late 1950s. Same as what the radio ops had when the 1091 was running troops onto the shore under fire. Fair is fair.
