Clete,

The largest model was the RA-34-A (by several inches). In general, each
successive group of models (B, C, D, then E, F, G and finally H and J) were
smaller than the previous. All models except the H used 866-A's for the HV
rectifiers.

The RA-34-A used a pair of half-wave tube-type rectifiers for the 12 VDC
relay supply. I finally tracked down the SIG Stk Number which references a
6-digit GE number but doesn't say what sort of rectifier they are. RA-34-B, C and D
used a full-wave tube-type LV rectifier, also a GE number plus a WEMCo number
is given. All subsequent models used selenium rectifiers.

If your memory remembers a single LV rectifier tube, then the RA-34 would
seem to be a B, C or D. For reference, the BCD's are 20" wide and weigh 245
pounds (not including the CH-57-(*) Chest). RA-34-A is 26" wide but weighs "only"
239 pounds less chest. I have a CH-57-A chest if anyone needs it. All of
the RA-34's I have are G or later. Ten years ago, I could still pick them up.
:-)
