Tnx for helping me understand the parameters, Barry. I have been thinking about
lightening the stock here for some years now. ( Maybe this is the modern analog
of tossing guns, radios etc. out the hatches to be able to return to base...)
I have been struggling to identify the a attraction factors, and then find a way to
quantify them, so i'd finally have an unemotional, cut & dried formula. 
Dave Stinson discussed some elements of his formula  some time back, but i suspect 
he's cheated and kept some stuff that could be defined as outside his primary  mission.
