You can always say goodby to ebay.

I did that over a year ago when it bothered me to share a 
significant amount of money with them on a 2000 dollar 
amplifier.

I ended up selling it without ebay help and cut my expenses 
significantly.

Then I began to realize that if it did not make sense to pay 
for listing a 2000 dollar item, why should it make sense to 
pay to list anything at all.t

So now I don't use ebay anymore to sell and I have not seen 
anything I want to buy either.  But that may be because I 
don't browse the ebay pages anymore.

I don't have to worry about ebay messages possibly being 
scams.  Or worry about message from paypal that are actually 
from some clown pretending to be paypal.  Or worry about 
snipers on auctions.  Or worry about if the stuff I won is 
really as advertised.

Life is much simpler and less costly without ebay.
