This is a double standard. If the "little fingers" started playing with the engine controls, landing gear, etc. they would be stopped pronto. IMO, the foundation is populated with ex-pilots who conveniently forget that without radio, radar, loran, etc. they would be essentially flying a bus while deaf, blind, and lost.
