Canadian Postal rates combine actual weight in lbs or Kg multiplied by volume. I guess the call it volumetric weight, something that doesn't exist under the SI system of weights and measures. Probably dreamed up by an MBA.
We have about six different methods of shipping via post and each method has restrictions of max/min length or width or height. If you try to ship some collapsible whips , say 2 ft long and weighing 4oz. , you're in for a challenge because the min dimensions for 5 lbs of antennas needs to be 6in square, but don't exceed the weight restriction or it won't fly.
I think its a diabolical plot to keep generating stamps for collectors. I wonder when they'll let China handle the postal system too ?
