[Milsurplus] Radio On Higgins PT Boat

Hi,
I ran into a WWII PT boat veteran yesterday while having tires mounted.  As
usual, I struck up conversation, and it turns out he was a Quartermaster
which put him responsible for driving the boat, navigating, and
communications.  When my car came down off the lift, I showed him my TCS
set mounted in the rear.  His recollection was a vertical stack of 2 units
wider and shorter than the TCS.  As he held his hands apart to indicate the
dimensions, they seemed similar to TBX. While that does not seem
impossible, are there other candidates with that form factor?
