Ed,

Dave is correct.  The first thing he should do is get a copy of the Radio 
Installation Manual for his particular model.  I may have it.  If not there are a 
couple of other possible sources.

And it's FT-237 (the mount or rack).

Whether the intercom used the transmitter modulator or not, for example, 
depends upon vehicle and time frame.  That modification was added to the BC-604 
sometime in 1943.
