[Milsurplus] How to remove a STUCK set screw.

I would try a dremel tool with a ball mill bit. If that was not hard enough 
I would then try a diamond grinding bit with a diameter just slightly 
larger than the hex tip size. That way you will do minimum damage to the 
threads in the knob. Then I would use the smallest easy out you can find to 
remove what is left of the set screw. If you were able to drill all the way 
through the set screw, you might be able to back out what remains with a 
dental pick.

This has worked for me in the past removing stripped out set screws.
