Of course, we're fortunate and resourceful enough to understand the
availability of such items and have the ability to dig them up. As
someone mentioned, quite often buyers have little knowledge of
availabilty, and seeing something like "used in a WWII B-17 bomber" or
something similar could easily think it's a rare, one-of-a-kind
opportunity.
The set does have both the connector (with seal) and shockmount,
easily seen in one of the pictures. The seller has it mounted on a
board with a nice homebrewed power supply running the original
dynamotor, a nice touch.
And while no one in this group would likely be willing to pay a price
like that, it probably seems like a steal to those who lack the time
and skills to go find one in the same shape and put together a proper
power supply. Which gets into the old 'what is your time worth?'
quandry and all the rest.
